The Rundown: Twig’s mistake will start him on a journey that will have devastating consequences.
After burying the Pathsayer, Twig and Splat attempt to restart the machine that will allow Twig to see what his next step in his journey will be. Unfortunately, mixing formulas isn’t the same as working recipes, but Twig is able to see a dangerous vision of the future. A vision that will take the magic away from the gem he is protecting.
In order to recharge the gem, Twig will take another journey to see the Nekramancer who can hopefully find a way to fix what is broken. But Twig’s luck continues to be a problem as things get more dangerous for him on the road and in the future.
The Story: Young delivers a fun and entertaining story in this issue. The world of these characters is beautifully unique and the story takes some wonderful twists as it expands on Twig’s journey and the unique and varied creatures and characters along the way.
The Art: Strahm offers some dazzling and beautifully detailed imagery on every page of the issue. The art brilliantly captures the strange and unique elements of a new world and its characters.
