We’re already at the third episode of the second season of The Mandalorian and this season is shaping up to be the best one yet as the different iterations of Star Wars continue to merge into a bigger universe.

With the third episode, “The Heiress”, now streaming on Disney Plus we got to see Mando’s world expand, questions get answered and teases of a bigger story to come and that was just in this one episode. So here are the top 5 moments from ‘The Heiress’ currently streaming.

SPOILERS – IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED CHAPTER 11 STOP NOW!!

A Less Than Graceful Landing

Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World) directs this episode with style and flair and there is a subtle nod to her father Ron Howard’s Apollo 13 in the beginning of this episode. The damaged Razor Crest must make a harrowing landing on a planet and its re-entry is not without risk. With the ship having to come in at an angle to prevent them from burning up, the scene ends with the ship and its crew touching down on a landing pad only to end up splashing down in the ocean.

The scene is reminiscent of the finale of Ron Howard’s Apollo 13 as the crew of the damaged Command Module Odyssey has to risk burning up on re-entry in order to splash down in the ocean. Both scenes are harrowing, action packed and triumphant in their pay offs with the Mandalorian scene adding some unexpected humor.

Froggies Went A Courtin

The mission that prompted Mando and The Child to leave Tatooine in the first place and get stuck on an ice planet to be attacked by spiders was to deliver a frog lady and her unfertilized eggs to her husband to prevent the end of their line. When the Razor Crest is finally fished out of the ocean, Frog Lady finds her husband on the pier and reunite. It’s a very sweet moment for characters with no dialogue and it was nice that moment wasn’t the last time we saw them in the episode.

Mandalorians vs The Empire

Besides the awesome story unfolding in the Mandalorian, Chapter 11 gives us more awesome battles against the remnants of the Empire. After agreeing to help his fellow Mandalorians retrieve weapons being smuggled by Imperials, we get an awesome sequence of Mandos pulling off a heist in the skies over the planet complete with massive Imperial causalities. The sequence is awesome in its execution and there are definitely some humorous moments throughout (Cargo Control Area).

The scene illustrates how tenacious and skilled the Mandalorians are in a fight and how well they improvise and work as a unit.

Bo Katan

When the announcement was made that the Clone Wars character of Bo Katan would leap from the animated world to live action, fans were excited. Normally, there would be speculation on who would play the character on the screen as most voice actors don’t look like the character they’re portraying. In this instance, fans were blessed with the introduction of Katee Sackhoff under the armor because she not only looks like the character, but voiced her in the animated series.

Not only does Katan’s appearance connect Clone Wars to the greater Star Wars universe, but she also answers the question of why Mando doesn’t take off his helmet with the knowledge that there is an offshoot of the culture that follows a different path. One that prevents them from taking off their helmets. This allows for a deeper story to be told as Mando must come to terms with things he doesn’t know about his own people. Her appearance also leads to one of the biggest reveals beyond Moff Gideon’s stealing of the Dark Saber and that is….

Ahsoka Tano

Anakin Skywalker’s former apprentice and former Jedi is one of the best additions to the Star Wars universe and the final episode of The Clone Wars showing how she survived Order 66 was one of the best of the series. Her subsequent appearance on Rebels solidified her status as an important part of the Star Wars universe and its characters. I cannot wait to see how Rosario Dawson looks in the role as well as what her appearance means for both Mando and the Child.
