Motherboard has taken her twisted idea of motherly love to a whole new level.
As the combined forces of the Avengers, the Winter Guard and others fight off the players trapped in the escape, Tony and Amanda are fighting from within the simulation to stop Motherboard from keeping Tony’s mind trapped and dependent.
At Stark Unlimited, JACOSTA needs to know if Andy has made any progress removing Amanda from the simulation. Amanda refuses to leave but Andy has found a way to remove people from the game. Unfortunately, they’re going to have to team up with Bain in order to stop production of the weapons and bring down the Controller.
With everyone working on the issue at hand, Arno decides to spy on Tony’s de facto family feud in the simulation. Tony decides to remove everyone, including Amanda and confronts his parents. When he finally regained control, we find out it might be too late.
Dan Slott and Jim Zub take this part of Tony’s life to an engaging and interesting place. They do a great job with the dialogue, especially all of the interactions between Tony and his family. The rest of the characters have great moments as well and the ending is interesting.
Valerio Schiti has some beautiful art in this issue and there are so many great visuals throughout. Loved the action.
