The Rundown: Tim finds himself in the company of some strange allies in an even stranger new world.
Waking up in a world ruled by a twisted version of Raven, Tim Drake is the only one who remembers who he was. He finds himself teaming up with Jinx who doesn’t remember anything and the pair arrive at the secret base of the resistance. After mentioning Batman, Tim is taken to the Dark Knight. A Dark Knight with a familiar face who tells him what happened to the heroes of Earth including the last one to wear the mantle.
A distress call will bring the resistance fighters to a church to rescue one of their own and they will discover quickly that they have been led into a trap. A trap that will reveal the truth to Batman. A reveal that might come too late when a powerful enforcer arrives.
The Story: A tense, entertaining and thrilling story with awesome character moments throughout. Scott delivers some great action while also creating an interesting and compelling story for Tim. The plot has some great character reveals and moments that keep me engaged with this story and interested in seeing how it evolves. The final moments of the issue are a wonderful surprise that I can’t wait to see play out.
The Art: Meyer delivers some beautifully detailed art that perfectly utilizes the dark atmosphere and tone of the story.
