The Rundown: The Disruptor and is Fearsome Five are putting a deadly plan into action and one of the Titans might have to go to a dark place to stop them.
The Teen Titans have descended on the city to stop the Fearsome Five as the Disruptor arms a bomb in the middle of the city. Using his powers, he manages to tilt the fight in the direction of the villains and the team has to make a strategic retreat in order to regroup and refocus their efforts with a new plan.
With a new plan in place, the team goes back after the villains, but the darkness inside Raven threatens to push her over the edge and force her to take down the Disruptor permanently. At the same time, HIVE begins the next phase of their plan using the fight against the Titans as a convenient distraction to keep them out of the way.
The Story: Dan Jurgens pens an impressive and entertaining follow up to the first issue. The Titans are fighting for their lives and Kory handles a lot of the narration as she both talks about the team’s strengths as well as remembering what kind of heroes they are. There is some great dialogue in this issue and the story progresses well. I enjoyed this issue and the conclusion drew me in and made me want to see what happens next.
The Art: Scot Eaton has some impressive art in this issue. There is a classic feel to the art and the characters look great. The action is well done as well with some great visual moments throughout.
