The Rundown: The Thundercats have their first confrontation with Mumm-Ra and Lion-O deals with betrayal.
Panthro continues to work on something that could protect the Thunderians while Lion-O confides in Tigra about his feelings for Calica. At the same time, Slithe finds himself in the hands of the Monkians who question his claim to be the leader of the Mu’Tants.
When Mumm-Ra makes his play for the eye of Thundera by sending an army against the Thundercats, they leap into battle. As Lion-O faces off against Mumm-Ra himself, the ever-living reveals that the Thundercats are compromised and Lion-O faces betrayal from their newest member.
The Story: Shalvey continues to create an entertaining and thrilling adventure for the Thundercats in this issue. The story has some great action and tension throughout and does a marvelous job of showcasing Lion-O as a capable warrior with and without the sword of omens. A wonderfully thrilling issue filled with suspense and surprises.
The Art: Moss delivers some fantastic art throughout the issue. The action is visually thrilling throughout the issue and I love the character designs.
