The Rundown: Cece finds being the local expert on serial killers comes with a terrible price.

With the record for the most kills still being held by one man, another killer enters the competition. Unfortunately, his methods are more violent as he kills a bus load of children before going on a killing spree in a local park. When the media goes to Cece for comment, she lays out the difference in this new set of crimes. An interview that will put a target on her back.

While Mark is still dealing with losing his wife and having to get rid of his trophies, he goes to Cece information and is confronted by Daniel who tells him that he is next on his kill list. As the two fight it out, they find themselves in Cece’s house where the new killer is planning on making her his first serial victim.

The Story: Stark ramps up the tension, suspense and thrills in this issue. Not only is the story filled with violent, brutal killings, but putting Cece in the middle of events is a great narrative choice. I love how this story goes to some interesting and unexpected places throughout the issue and everything culminates in some fantastic twists at the end that make me excited for the next issue.

The Art: Patrick Piazzalunga delivers fantastic art throughout the issue. Not only do I love the visual style of the series, but the use of shadow is brilliant in setting the tone of a scene.
