The Rundown: Thor and Venom attempt to bring down a symbiote fused with a powerful former foe.

Thor and Venom team up to take on Darkoth who has been infected with a young symbiote working off instinct. Unfortunately, the symbiote has decided to mimic Thor by creating a promethium hammer that can rival Mjolnir. A battle ensues that takes Thor by surprise with the power being used against him.

While the others fight above ground, Donald Blake starts to feel something shift in his prison beneath the planet. A shift that will have dark consequences. At the same time, Thor and Venom do something drastic to stop Darkoth and its implications could mean trouble for Thor and Asgard.

The Story: Cates and Ewing deliver an entertaining story in this issue. There are some interesting moments throughout and the dynamic between the characters is engaging. What really shines in the issue are the things being teased within it including the continuation of Thor dealing with the visions of the future. I also really enjoyed how Blake is used in the issue and the threat that he will become later.

The Art: Larroca delivers some thrilling art in the issue and the visuals do a great job of showcasing the tension and emotion of the story.
