The Rundown: Geralt is given a new mission, but his target might not be the monster he was told about.
After being kidnapped by a tribe of animal worshippers, Geralt finds himself in the presence of their charismatic leader who tells him of the real monster that they need the Witcher to kill. A monster who rules the island and hunts anything for sport.
After saving the life of his target, Geralt is taken in and shown hospitality through food and story. A story that possibly sheds new light on both his target and the man he is working for.
The Story: Sztybor delivers a layered and engaging story in this issue. I love the fact that there are no clear good guys and bad guys in the story leaving Geralt to find the truth through his own moral compass. The story leaves the reader to wonder who the true threat is and I love how that mystery makes me excited to see where the story goes next.
The Art: Rerekina delivers some stunning art in the issue. The art is lively, beautifully detailed and captures the character’s emotions perfectly.
