Deron GenerallyA new series based on The Witcher is being developed for Netflix’s streaming service by Daredevil and The Defenders producer Lauren Schmidt Hissrich.
The Witcher is based on a fantasy series by Andrzej Sapkowski written in the 1980’s. The nine book series became the basis for the highly popular video game franchise. The series will focus on a group of monster hunters in training. Using body modification and their training, they develop supernatural powers that allow them to battle the deadly beasts that roam the area.
No cast has been announced as of this story, but as a fan of the video game series, I will continue to follow this story and the production itself.
