The Rundown: Geralt and his new team attempt to return their prisoner while Yennifer finds herself in danger.
Geralt and the mercenaries he is traveling with continue to transport their mage prisoner back to their mutual benefactor. As they find themselves attacked by creatures in the woods, Geralt earns a little trust from one while gaining the ire of another.
At the same time, Yennifer stays at Geralt’s new home and finds herself being attacked by unknown forces who take her prisoner. As Geralt and the others attempt to break into a location after freeing the mage, they will find out too late that they have been betrayed.
The Story: Bartosz Sztybor delivers fantastic action and thrills throughout this issue. I enjoy the story immensely and there are some great moments for Geralt and Yennifer in the story. The action is thrilling and I love the escalation of the tension within the story. I continue to enjoy this return to the world of the Witcher as well as how the character has changed and evolved within it. I look forward to seeing what happens next.
The Art: Mastantuono delivers some beautifully detailed and visually dazzling art in the issue.
