The Rundown: Geralt’s quiet life is interrupted by a visit from an old flame and a new threat.
Geralt has found a new life in a small town making wine and helping his neighbor who is teaching him the trade. After receiving an unexpected visit from Yennifer, the sorceress notices the change in the former Witcher. Unfortunately, she is not the only one who seems to notice.
Geralt decides make breakfast and the next morning, he and Yen are confronted by a group of travelers who have a message for the Witcher. A message that will lead to a tense confrontation.
The Story: Sztybor crafts an entertaining story for Geralt in this issue. The story delivers a new and engaging story for the character along with the return of another. I like the emotional struggle the character will face in this series as well as the wonderful rise in tension that will inevitably lead to some great action to come.
The Art: Corrado Mastantuono creates some magical art in the issue. I love the visual style as well as the vistas being created throughout the issue. There are some wonderful shots of the area that make me wish I was there.
