The Rundown: Nathan, Cross and the rest of their team are going to have to fight multiple agendas and betrayal is they are going to save humanity.
After trying and failing to teach Nathan to defend himself, Cross and the rest of the group head out to a hidden lab to find Nyseth’s research and the memories of Ian Black. With the others outside guarding the perimeter, Cross, Nathan and Argus make their way into the base.
As they search for Nyseth’s office, Nathan finds a way to get the group separated and Cross has to double back to retrieve him. A harder prospect than it sounds when she is betrayed and captured while Nathan literally stumbles on exactly what they were looking for.
The Story: This issue goes to some weird places in the end as events unfold in some unexpected and interesting ways. Jody Leheup does a great job of keeping the suspense going right up to the very end and then doing something completely unexpected, but satisfying. I have no idea where this story goes from here with what happened at the end of this issue, but I am interested in finding out.
The Art: Nathan Fox knocks it out of the park with the art work in this issue. The characters are expressive and well detailed. The action is fun and there are some beautiful panels throughout the issue.
