The Rundown: The Weatherman is back and he, Amanda and a ragtag group of mercs and criminals are on their way to the most dangerous place in the galaxy, Earth.
Nathan is dealing with the reality that he is Ian Black, notorious terrorist and the man responsible for the deaths of 8 billion people. As he’s hunted and hounded across the universe, the people who he’s with are using him to get information that could prevent another devastating attack. Nathan wants to help, but he also doesn’t want to face the man he was and what he did.
As they descend on Earth, Nathan is reminded of the fact that there are people, including the ones he travels with, who want him dead. That revelation is going to take on even more meaning when the Weatherman sees a hint of the devastation that he is responsible for.
The Story: Jody Leheup picks up where he left off and doesn’t miss a beat. Readers of the first volume can jump right back into the story and it continues with the same pace as the previous arc. The story is fast moving and has an immediacy that engages the reader right away. Leheup manages to break up the seriousness with effective humor and Nathan continues to be a sympathetic character that you root for despite what he was before.
The Art: Nathan Fox’s art is fantastic. Everything from the beautifully detailed backgrounds to the characters and layouts look amazing.
