The Rundown: Rogue, Gambit and Wolverine are confronted by mutants on the run.
In the past, a young Charles Xavier meets a young woman named Sarah while at school. A young woman who he is instantly enamored with and seems to like him as well. A young woman who could be hiding an interesting secret.
In the present, Rogue, Gambit and Wolverine find themselves being confronted by a group of teenagers with powers. Teenagers on the run from something they cannot explain. As a confrontation begins, a former ally will arrive to ease the tension as the woman running the new prison for mutants has a meeting with a creature hunting them for her.
The Story: Simone continues to create a thrilling, engaging and compelling story in this series. I thoroughly love the tone and style of this series and how Simone introduces new and interesting elements that keep me both entertained and engrossed in these characters. The story continues to build on the divisions and emotions of and between the characters and that drama has me coming back for more. A great follow up issue that introduces a new and interesting character that I cannot wait to see more of.
The Art: Marquez offers some beautifully detailed and immersive art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and how it crafts its characters.
