The Rundown: The friends discover the location of the Caliburn suit and another secret is exposed.
After escaping the suit sent to kill them, the friends make their way to Johnny’s apartment where Val gets to work trying to find the missing suit using his knowledge of how they built it. As the truth of what happened between the friends and the business decisions that ended their friendship are revealed, Val discovers where the missing suit is and who has it.
Unfortunately, the group is unaware of the fact that they are being watched and the person who has the suit is alerted that they are coming. As the friends attempt to ambush their quarry, a battle breaks out that not leads to a violent end, but also to an unexpected discovery.
The Story: Warren consistently crafts a thrilling, engaging mystery throughout this series and this issue is no exception. There are some great twists and turns throughout this story and moments of tension that had me excited about what was about to unfold. The story takes a huge narrative swing in this issue and ends with a cliffhanger that opens up more questions that I want answered.
The Art: Mobili delivers beautifully detailed art throughout the issue that brilliantly captures the characters and thrilling action the story is creating.
