The Terrifics are going on a road trip and there has been an new development with their newest teammate Phantom Girl. Mr Terrific has found a way to help the young lady touch certain inanimate objects and this has opened up a whole new world for her.
I like the fact that Holt is being put into the position of being more than a team leader and it looks like Phantom Girl is interested in finding out why Terrific is as guarded as he is. It’s an interesting plot device to reveal over time and I hope the title is given the opportunity to do so. I also enjoy the back and forth banter between Plastic Man and Metamorpho. It is a well done distraction from the seriousness of the overall story.
I enjoyed the fact that this issue served to lighten the tone and steer it more towards a family dynamic. Having the team take Phantom Girl to her planet with a Star Wars-style side mission is fun and done well. This was a fun issue with relatively low stakes that serves to enhance the character interactions and story.
