Holt and company are face to face with dark multiverse versions of themselves and Java is poised to end Mr. terrific once and for all.
The Terrifics have called in Tesla Strong to back them up as they take on the Dreadfuls. It’s a pitched battle between the two sides as each one takes advantage of the weaknesses of the other. What the Terrifics have as an advantage of the Dreadfuls is that they are working together. No better example of that than when Plastic Man comes to the rescue of his son as they take on a vampire version of Plas himself.
In the aftermath of an epic battle, Holt and the rest of the Terrifics have a heart to heart and the formerly cold and unfeeling leader of their team opens up to them. With a new mission, new dynamic and purpose, the Terrifics decide to stay together as a team. Especially with the new additions to the team bringing them closer.
Jeff Lemire wraps up this story arc in an exceptionally satisfying way. I really enjoyed the team dynamic he’s created as well as the way they interact with each other. There are a lot of fun moments throughout this issue and the evolution of Mr. Terrific in the story and throughout the series has been a highlight. This was a really fun issue and I can’t wait to see where this team goes next.
Joe Bennett’s art is fantastic. There are some truly great visual moments throughout and the fight scenes are amazing.
