The Rundown: Levi teams with Hal Jordan to stop an alien invasion that threatens the planet.
A series of plant based ships is headed to Earth and the Green Lantern Corp has enlisted the help of Levi to discover what they’re intentions are. After Levi reveals his tenuous relationship to the Green, he decides to help as best he can and uses his remaining power to enter the lead ship and communicate with its consciousness.
At the same time, the newly created Parliament of Gears is taking form and preparing to spread across the world and destroy everything in its path. With Levi’s brother using the power of the Green to fight it, Levi must convince the oncoming fleet to help him. A feat that will require some unexpected power from Hal Jordan.
The Story: Ram V delivers an intriguing and entertaining story in this issue. It’s interesting to see Levi interact with other DC characters, especially Hal Jordan. The story has some engaging twists and turns and I love that a majority of it is a conversation between Levi and the consciousness inside the swarm. The story is fantastic and leads to a surprising conclusion that makes me excited to see what happens next.
The Art: Perkins delivers some beautifully detailed and stylistic art throughout the issue. The visuals are stunning and brilliantly evocative.
