The Rundown: Levi enters the green to find answers, but he doesn’t go alone.

Levi finally starts looking for help with his transformations and finds himself at a lab with Jen trying to discover the source. As she begins to scan his brain, the power of the Swamp Thing takes over turning the lab into a forest. When he emerges, he senses that something is wrong. Something is different about the green. As he searches for Jennifer, he finds himself in the presence of another with a connection to the green; Poison Ivy.

Jennifer finds herself trapped in the green as well, but she has the misfortune of running into Woodrue. When Ivy takes Levi to her more powerful self, a conflict between the two will call forward a familiar face that will offer to lead and help Levi deal with his new role as the avatar of the green. Someone who reveals to Levi that his role is more important than he thinks and that whatever is infecting the green could spell doom for all life.

The Story: Ram V continues to build an engaging world for these characters and pulls the reader in with great dialogue and a great plot. There are awesome character moments throughout and an epic scale to the world being built in this series. I love the serious tone of the story and how it transcends your average comic book tale. I loved the surprises throughout and am invested in the characters. A great issue throughout.

The Art: Mike Perkins does a brilliant job of matching the tone of the story with the art. Everything is atmospheric and serious in its details and I love the visual bounty of the green and the look of the characters.
