The Rundown: Peter and Miles face off against dual Electros as a new hero makes her debut.
Max Dillon and Francine Frye decide that only one of them can take the name Electro and to end their competition they decide that whichever kills a Spider-Man first takes the name. A bet they agree to when both Miles and Peter arrive to find out what’s going on between the two villains.
Prior to the encounter both Miles and Peter continue to meet with their support group and also help Juliet develop and control her powers so that she can live a normal life. As Juliet learns more about her abilities and what she can do, she decides to suit up to help the Spider-Men deal with their supervillain problem.
The Story: There are a lot of fun and entertaining moments throughout this story and I continue to enjoy the cast of characters a lot. With that being said, this issue felt like Peter and Miles were side characters in their own story. Everything felt like a setup for Juliet which would have been fine if her debut didn’t rely on both Peter and Miles being absolutely ineffectual against villains they’ve faced multiple times.
The Art: Genolet and Laiso deliver beautiful art throughout the issue. The action was visually thrilling throughout and I really enjoyed the visual style of the issue.
