The Rundown: Morgan Le Fay finds a champion to reclaim Avalon from the queen who sits upon it.

As Morgan Le Fay prepares for the next part of her plan to take over Avalon, Graugach tells his story to the spirt of Morgan that was. A story of his acclaim as a warrior, his love that was lost when he revealed his monstrous form and his journey through time and a run in with Hellboy that left his cursed. A curse that will bring him new power through Morgan as he leaves to fight Edward.

At the same time, Edward receives a new weapon from Alice and leaves to face Morgan’s champion on the battlefield. An encounter that will test the mettle of both with Graugach revealing a possible advantage in the battle.

The Story: Mignola crafts a beautifully compelling and entertaining story in this issue. The characters are unique and interesting both in their interpretation and motivations. I find myself immersed in this world and with the characters themselves. A thoroughly entertaining story that I am engaged with from start to finish.

The Art: Stenbeck delivers fantastic art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and it perfectly captures the tone of the story and the world it lives in.
