The Rundown: The ghosts continue their investigation as Charles deals with the effects of his attack.
The kids continue their investigation as the director recovers in the hospital. Unfortunately, Charles is still dealing with the effects of being attacked and Edwin is worried about him. At the same time, Jai is dealing with her own issues and insecurities including her memories of her past in Thailand and why her parents moved her to the states.
As the kids discover a dead end in their investigation, they question their next move and Jai convinces them to press on. When they decide to return to the mansion, they discover someone there. Unfortunately, not all of them will make it out.
The Story: Pornsak Pichetshote crafts an intense, thoughtful and often endearing story in this issue. I love that the story is told from Jai’s point of view and that it gives the reader the opportunity to learn more about the character and her circumstances. The plot has some really tense and intense moments throughout and everything comes together to a heartbreaking cliffhanger that makes me excited to see what happens next.
The Art: Rodriguez and Stokely deliver beautiful art on every page of the issue. The visual style of the issue draws in the reader with great action and visual thrills.
