The Rundown: Lord Rokos comes to down to look for his daughter and brings his wrath with him.

The Foreman and the woman he loves wait at the edge of his tower for a personal visit from Lord Rokos, the god of the sun. Fearing Rokos knows of the plot he is a part of, the Foreman waits for his fate as the streak of fire burns through the heavens before hitting the ground. Knowing that his daughter was last seen with the Foreman’s men, Rokos discovers the violence left behind and that his daughter is still missing. Enraged, he decides to make the world suffer in fire and death.

As the world begins to burn, Soluna and the other escaped children find themselves roaming the woods. As the fires continue to spread, they look for shelter in caves while Rokos finds himself confronted by a familiar face who wants to put an end to his rule over the world and the destruction he is creating.

The Story: Remender creates a dark, thrilling and intense story in this issue. The story begins immediately with intensity and doesn’t let up as it builds on both the tension between the characters and the external rage of Rokos. I loved the progression of destruction throughout the story and the cliffhanger at the end of the issue makes me excited to see what happens next.

The Art: Fiumara delivers beautifully detailed and visually stunning art throughout the issue. Everything from the characters to the environments capture and enhance the tone and emotion of the story.
