The Rundown: Pigeon takes on another god and offers this one something different than death.
Pigeon has been captured by Kronius’ minions and is being brought to him to pay for killing his brother and wife. Pigeon has other plans as he violently resists and finds himself facing off against Kronius and his forces.
As the two trade blows, both powerful beings begin something unexpected during their fight. The pair begin a philosophical discussion about power that could change the course of Pigeon’s mission of revenge and the balance of power that Kronius has always been a part of.
The Story: Remender crafts an intriguing story in this issue. It takes some interesting twists and turns, but the events feel a little forced, especially the discussion between Pigeon and Krionus. As a reader, I found the change in tone between the two to be unbelievable, but the story continues to be solid enough for me to be curious about what this new dynamic could mean for the bigger story.
The Art: Lima Araujo delivers some beautiful art throughout the issue. The action is visually thrilling and I wanted more of it.
