The Rundown: Cliff wants to hang up the rocket and find a safe gig, but an opportunity to race might be more dangerous than anything he’s faced before.

When there’s a radio report of a potential Nazi camp in Los Angeles, Cliff straps on his rocket and blasts off to confront them. After a dangerous fire fight, Cliff succeeds, but the fight leaves him shaken and reconsidering being the Rocketeer at all. Something Betty is all for.

When Cliff is called in by a rich industrialist, he is given the opportunity to compete in a huge race across the globe. A race that could mean everything for his future with Betty. Unfortunately, the race is going to have its own set of challenges, some of them potentially deadly for the competitors.

The Story: Mooney brings the fun, action and charm of the Rocketeer back in this issue. I love the world of these characters and Mooney is able to bring the aesthetic, with and banter of the characters to life. I love the pace and structure of the story as well and the issues Cliff is dealing with both personally and professionally. I love the mystery and intrigue in the story and cannot wait to see what happens next.

The Art: Mooney pulls double duty as writer and artists in this issue and the art is wonderfully vibrant, fun and engaging. The action is thrilling and the characters look fantastic.
