The Rundown: A series of troubling events will bring Daisy closer to the Red Mother.
Walking to work, Daisy hears crashing noises coming from the church. When she enters, she sees Cordelia being attacked by a masked figure and Daisy decides to fight back. Injuring the man, he runs away and Cordelia ends up in the hospital when Leland arrives to check on them.
IN the aftermath of the attack, Daisy is shaken and having more nightmares about the Red Mother. When she turns to Ian for comfort, she is upset that he is not only not taking her calls, but is not anwering the door at his apartment. When Cordelia is released from the hospital, they go to Ian’s for answers, but find a bigger mystery inside.
With things in her life spiraling out of control, Daisy will find herself face to face with the man who attacked her and she might not survive the encounter.
The Story: The story gets more intense. The mystery gets more intriguing and the stakes get higher for Daisy in this issue. Jeremy Haun takes the character to some dark places and removing her safety net in Ian is a bold move that makes the drama more entertaining. The story is great and I am invested in the characters and the outcome. I can’t wait to see what happens next and how it all connects to the Red Mother.
The Art: Danny Luckert delivers some awesome art in this issue. Both the real world panels and the Red Mother interludes are beautifully detailed.
