The Rundown: Daisy will finally confront the creature stalking her, but she might not be able to escape her fate.
Daisy finds herself surrounded by strangers and face to face with the herald of the Red Mother. After fighting her way through the crowd, she finds herself on the run from the entity who is relentless. It will take a desperate act of courage she never knew she had to finally escape the creature and return to her life.
Later, Daisy finds herself free from the Red Mother and with an opportunity that will take her away from her old life. Unfortunately, that change will have to come after confronting the loss she’s been running from. But her new life will not protect her from the Red Mother.
The Story: Haun ramps up the action and tension in this issue. There’s been a significant and necessary build up to the moment Daisy actually confront the herald and Haun does an excellent job of making sure that moment is well done. The moment she fights back is punctuated by great pacing and energy that leads to an awesome character and story moment. The second part of the story features great dialogue and a satisfying arc for Daisy moving forward.
The Art: Danny Luckert does an amazing job with the art in this issue. From the hulking menace of the herald to the breathtaking chase through the city, the visuals are impressive from start to finish.
