The Rundown: Lux continues to deal with his powerful equals while things get more dangerous.
In the wake of another assassination attempt on Heavy Harris, Etienne Lux does something daring and unexpected to keep the tenuous peace. Something that will require him to speak to the world and justify his actions.
At the same time, he goes to see the reporter after she is taken by the police and facilitates her escape and trip to Haven. In Japan, one of the only people close to Lux discovers what he did while other forces conspire to deal with him as a threat.
The Story: Gillen continues to craft a fascinating world in this follow up issue. It is brilliantly complex and engaging on multiple levels. I continue to get excited about this world and these characters. It’s a wonderfully unique and entertaining world filled with complicated and thoroughly complex characters and relationships. I am invested in the world of this story and cannot wait to see what happens next.
The Art: Caspar Wijngaard delivers brilliantly complex and visually stunning art throughout the issue. The visual style is perfectly balanced for the characters and the world.
