The Rundown: A tragedy will throw the group into turmoil and it is revealed that it might not have been an accident.
One of the friends is dead as a result of testing their immortality while Ryan attempted to access the controls keeping them in the house on the lake. With Walter unable to bring the friend back, he and Norah discuss the situation and reveal that it wasn’t completely unexpected. A revelation that will have dangerous repercussions for the group.
As the group continues to fracture into smaller groups with their own agenda, Walter and Norah continue to discuss what will inevitably happen next. At the same time, Rick and some of the others decide that in order to free themselves, they will have to kill Walter.
The Story: Tynion brings the tension to new heights in this issue. The characters, plot and pacing are excellent. You can feel the rising tension with every moment and the growing dread the characters are dealing with. The revelations in the story are fantastic and every one makes me excited to see where the story goes next.
The Art: The visuals are stunning and filled with emotion. Every page and panel captures the emotion and tone of the story.
