The Rundown:The housemates test the limit of their immortality while Walter’s revelation could lead to a devastating incident.
In the future, Rock thinks back on his relationship with Naya and their friendship with Walter before he heads off into the unknown. Back at the compound, Walter takes Norah to the control room for the habitat and shows her the controls. He reveals the truth about why they are there and why he picked them. Unfortunately, the two are not alone as Ryan has discovered the room as well and is listening in.
At the same time, the housemates are dealing with the revelation that they cannot die and that leads to some of them trying to test that assertion with the weapons they discovered in the house. After Walter and Norah leave, Ryan attempts to access the system. An act that will cause chaos among the memories of the housemates and could lead to the death of another.
The Story: James Tynion IV delivers a dark, disturbing and wildly entertaining story in this issue. I love the increased pressure on the housemates and how it ramps up the tension for the reader. There are some great reveals in this issue and I loved seeing Walter become more of a person in his interactions with Norah and not just the central antagonist that is connected to all the characters. I love the rising tension throughout the issue and how it leads to a beautifully timed and executed (no pun intended) cliffhanger.
The Art: Alvaro Martinez Bueno continues to captivate the reader visually with stunning art that is both brilliantly detailed and as darkly disturbing as the premise of the series.
