The Rundown: Lieutenants Chubb and Montoya discuss the ramifications from a previous assignment while Jace tracks makes contact with a dangerous enemy.
While Jace watches his father interact with a prominent figure in Gotham, he receives an informative call from Vol. He later targets members of Arkadine’s crew. After a deadly confrontation, he is reunited with someone unexpected. Meanwhile, Chubb and Montoya must determine where their loyalties truly lie.
The Story: John Ridley redirects the overall narrative to focus on Jace’s current mission for Vol. It’s interesting to see how Jace’s disdain for his family’s actions pushes him to seek justice in other manners. And how his own attempts to make amends defines his characters. I’m excited to see where this series leads.
The Art: The art in this issue is well done. The colors match the tone of the series. And the character expressions really make you connect to the story on an emotional level.
