The Rundown: Sam and Duncan learn a dangerous truth as they find themselves allied with nightmares.

Tash returns to the real world and discovers that his plan is working when he sees his daughter begin to wake. Unfortunately, Pigface reminds him that he needs Sam and Duncan in order to use them to make her return completely. A task made more difficult with the parents finding themselves in the presence of Penny’s nightmares.

Sam and Duncan learn that the nightmares have a purpose in Penny’s mind and that Tash has been hiding the reality of their situation from them through their weapons and armor. When the Cascade attack, Sam and Duncan must find a new way to defend themselves. A way that will tap into their daughter’s fears and give them new weapons to fight with.

The Story: Daniel Warren Johnson continues to craft a thrilling, nuanced and engaging story in this issue. I love the complicated elements of this story and the introduction of the nightmares and how they add a new layer to the character journey. The suspense is palpable and I continue to enjoy the journey the characters are taking and how personal it is.

The Art: Daniel Warren Johnson and Riley Rossmo deliver fantastic art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of the story and the imaginative and visually stunning world they are creating.
