The Rundown: Ro finally sees the danger she’s in and must find a way to escape the entity that loves her.

Ro is confronted by the malevolent nature of her new friend when he murders her manager and friend in order to keep her from leaving. Stunned by the beings actions, Ro is horrified, but still unable to leave. As the entity shows her its true face and how it is connected to her work, Ro is terrified. That terror only grows when the entity tries to make things right and professes its love for Rowena.

Rowena tries to escape, but the entity will not allow her to leave it. As Rowena fights for her life, the creature has an idea that will bring them back to how things were when she first moved into the house. As the creature leaves her alone to create, Rowena makes a desperate gamble. One that she hopes will free her from the house, but it will cost her.

The Story: Young brings this story to a triumphant, yet bittersweet conclusion. The story showcases who Rowena is as a character and her journey is both compelling and engaging. The dialogue is as scary as the plot with the entity using every abusive, gaslighting trope available to break down Rowena’s will and resolve. Seeing her overcome and make a stand is thrilling and I love both the way her story ended and the tease Young leaves at the very end of the story.

The Art: Jorge Corona delivers some beautiful art in this finale. The art takes a dark, dramatic tone that enhances the tension and terror of the story and beautifully captures the tone of the plot.
