Deron GenerallyAfter the action packed, heart-wrenching season finale of The Mandalorian, Disney Plus gave Star Wars fans another treat with the announcement of the Boba Fett series.
Spoilers if you haven’t seen the season finale.
At the end of the episode, there is an after credits scene that returns viewers to Jabba’s palace on Tatooine where we see the new ruler of the syndicate sitting on his throne until blasts from the entrance trumpet the arrival of Ming-Na Wen’s Fennec Shand being followed by Temuera Morrison’s Boba Fett. As they take control of the Hutt stronghold, a title card reveals that the Boba Fett series will be titled ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ and will be coming December 2021.
It looks like Boba Fett and Fennec Shand will be taking over the criminal syndicates on Tatooine and maybe more places. It definitely looks like this series will take a darker tone than most Star Wars fare so we might get to see more of the dark underworld of the New Republic and possibly the return of other crime syndicates including Crimson Dawn, Black Sun and others.
