The Rundown: Captain Coffin and his crew prepare to hunt down the creatures plaguing the island.

Coffin and one of his men check out the perimeter of the castle and find signs that whatever they are hunting has been keeping close. Something they don’t expect an animal to do. When Montague and his men confront Coffin, he tells him that someone is attempting to commandeer his dingy and the captain shows the British officers how skilled he is with a rifle.

As they all return to the castle and the sisters look on, Coffin’s men sit down for a meal with everyone else. A meal that will reveal a story about Coffin’s past and how he became a man on the sea. A story that will be interrupted when Coffin tells his men they will be going hunting before first light.

The Story: Kelly, Jane and Carey continue to craft an interesting and engaging story in this issue. The world being created is intense and rich with great atmosphere and a wonderfully dark tone that makes all the scenes compelling. I continue to be impressed with the story and the things being revealed about the characters and I look forward to seeing where it goes next.

The Art: Yapur creates some visually stunning and engrossing art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of this series and how expressive the characters are.
