The Rundown: As Tony’s life continues to spiral, he risks it all to help a friend.
Feilong has taken control of Stark’s company and he legally owns everything including Tony’s armor. A reality Jen Walters brings into clarity for him as attacks around the world beginning pointing to Krakoa and the mutant population. When Captain America is attacked, Iron Man comes on the scene and discovers one of the sentinels using his tech is trying to kill Emma Frost.
Tony and Emma are forced to team up to stop the machines who are trying to kill them both while Feilong watches. Emma enters Tony’s mind to help him during the battle, but her becoming vulnerable to attack forces Tony to make a last minute and personally dangerous decision to save her.
The Story: A fun, exciting and action-packed adventure. Having Tony on the ropes continues to bring out some engaging and compelling drama for the character. Teaming him with Emma Frost was a great touch and added some thoughtful interpersonal conflict to the story. The action was great and I love seeing Tony do things that are heroic, daring and dangerous. Tony’s in a dangerous and vulnerable place at the end of this issue and I look forward to seeing how he gets out of it.
The Art: Frigeri delivers some beautiful art throughout the issue. The art is vibrant and filled with great detail. A fantastic looking issue from start to finish.
