The Rundown: Tony’s plans to stop a sentinel factory using his tech will put his best friend in danger.
Tony takes a trip to Texas to shut down one of his factories that is being used to make Sentinels with his name on them. After securing help from Rhodey, Iron Man enters the facility and proceeds to trip its security. What no one knows is that Tony has a trick up his sleeve.
In the wake of his mission, Rhodey runs into some trouble with Feilong and Orchis and Tony is helpless to stop them. As he licks his wounds and tries to find a way to help his friend, Feilong and the others prepare for the next part of their plan and its debut at the Hellfire Gala.
The Story: Duggan tells a great story of revenge and consequence in this issue. I love seeing the return of the Tony/Rhodey dynamic and how it is used to not only put Rhodey in danger he might not survive, but put Tony is a position where he has to make some hard decisions about his plans and the consequences others will have to face because of them. There is some great drama in this issue and I love the build up of tension and how it teases something big coming to the next Hellfire Gala.
The Art: Frigeri delivers some explosive action throughout the issue. The visuals are fun, beautifully detailed and filled with great energy that kept me visually engaged with every page and panel.
