The search for Tony Stark continues with Captain America sending a message to any Avenger listening to send him any news about Tony and especially any news on the whereabouts of Doctor Doom.
In Chicago, Riri Williams gets an unexpected visit from Blade. He gives her some information and tasks her with accepting an offer to MIT and continuing her search for Stark because he represents a group looking to rebuild something along the lines S.H.I.E.L.D and he needs Tony’s help. Doom, unfortunately, has his own problems as a group of super villains have broken into his castle in order to steal whatever wealth is available in Latveria and they are willing to rip Dooom out of his armor to do it.
Riri finds a way to activate Friday in an attempt to locate any Stark armor currently active anywhere in the world. Their hope is that if Tony is using his armor, they can find a way to locate him. She suits up with some friends and they begin their search. Robbins and his crew find that Doom is not in the armor they’ve been trying to pry open and they begin their search for Tony as well.
As Riri and her team make their way to a potential site based on their scans, they are attacked by Jack O’ Lantern, Beetle, Iron Spider and others. The battle leads to them someone Stark has been looking for as well as a message from the man himself. Meanwhile, Victor von Doom finds himself in need of help from someone important to him.
I really enjoy how deep this mystery has gotten. The story serves as both an interesting and well written mystery, but also as a journey into Stark’s world. Both the narrative and the art work really well together and there are some genuinely intriguing moments, especially with Blade seemingly coming out of nowhere. I was to see where this goes and I am enjoying the journey thus far.
