The Rundown: Tony Stark deals with the aftermath of war and the end of his marriage.
After completing his autobiography, Tony Stark continues to deal with the aftermath of his war against Orchis and the disposition of his enemy Feilong. After dealing with another old enemy who has some issues with his book, Stark returns to New York.
After wrapping up things with Rhodes, Tony has a final meeting with Emma Frost. A meeting that will have an unexpected end to their marriage and open the door for a new life for Tony Stark.
The Story: Duggan brings this story arc to a satisfying and entertaining conclusion. All the elements that have been built throughout this series are given the right amount of time to be explored while also crafting new threads that I hope to see pay off later for Tony Stark. Above everything else, I also really enjoyed the relationship between Tony and Emma Frost. As much fun as it was to see the characters interact, Duggan crafts some genuine affection in their moments together. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens when they meet again.
The Art: Di Vito delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. From the action to the character designs, everything looks amazing.
