The Rundown: Tony Stark and Emma Frost head to space to retrieve what they need to bring down Orchis.
Tony and Emma take a trip upstate to meet with a couple of Skrulls who will take their place on Earth as they travel to Gamesworld to retrieve what they need to stop Orchis. Teaming up with Starfox, the pair find their heist interrupted by a group of pirates who want the same thing they are after.
In orbit of Earth, Riri Williams attacks an Orchis base to steal a shuttle for the next part of Tony’s plan. Unfortunately, her space adventure will culminate in running into a familiar face and being the target of a space creature who wants the Mandarin’s rings.
The Story: A fun, entertaining and delightfully complicated story from Duggan. I continue to love the banter and interactions between Tony Stark and Emma Frost. There is a great “will they/won’t they” quality to them that makes them more engaging. The action is fun and I really enjoyed the lighter tone of the story both in its plot and dialogue.
The Art: Frigeri delivers beautiful art on every page of the issue. The characters look amazing and the fight scene with Emma is stunning. Valenza’s colors enhance every moment and brings them to stunning life on the page.
