The Rundown: Tony Stark’s life is taking a dangerous turn and facing it alone could make things worse.
Tony Stark is writing the story of his life and revealing everything warts and all. Unfortunately, the solace he finds in working in his lab is interrupted by an explosion that not only injures him, but kills one of his neighbors. Separating himself from the people that care about him, Tony goes on a crusade to find out who tried to kill him.
His investigation will lead to lead to a new armored enemy who is targeting him and Riri Williams. An enemy that is using a new and dangerous tactic to get to Stark. A tactic that will send Tony on a downward spiral that he might not come out of.
The Story: Duggan delivers an engaging and intriguing mystery in this first issue. Bringing Tony to his lowest is an interesting narrative choice and the new enemy being introduced make me curious about both the story and where it will go. I look forward to the next issue and how this series evolves.
The Art: Frigeri delivers some great art on every page of the issue. The action is visually thrilling and I love the visual world of the character.
