The Rundown: Chance’s time is running out and he decides to change his investigation when new information emerges.
After determining that Guy Gardner might still be alive, Chance decides that he needs to seek out a friend in the Green Lantern Corps and he needs to do it alone. He decides to seek out G’Nort who has little idea what is going on. After getting him drunk, the pair are transported to Oa where G’Nort lets him into the Corps Room of Records.
After confronting one of the Guardians, the pair return to Earth after Chance not only reads up on Guy, but himself as well. After finally confronting Guy again, he discovers a truth that will change everything about his relationship with Ice.
The Story: King crafts another brilliant chapter in this series with a story filled with great tension, humor and revelations. I love how broad and engaging the story continues to be. King crafts some great character moments between Chance and G’Nort and I loved the confrontation between Chance and Guy because of how well King utilizes Chance’s abilities. The final moments of the issue are filled with great tension and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
The Art: Smallwood continues to deliver some beautifully detailed and wonderfully compelling imagery throughout the issue. I love the style of the visuals and how they convey the emotion of the scene.
