In the wake of the action packed finale of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, there is news about the characters return to the big screen.
According to an exclusive in The Hollywood Reporter and confirmed in Deadline, Marvel Studios is bringing The Falcon and The Winter Soldier showrunner Malcolm Spellman on board to write the screenplay for a fourth Captain America movie.
Spellman will co-write the script for the film with fellow Falcon and Winter Soldier staff writer Dalan Mussan. While there has been rumors of Chris Evans reprising the role of Steve Rogers, it has not been made clear if that means he is picking up the shield again and with Spellman on board, it’s a good guess that the story will focus on Sam Wilson as Captain America with Evans possibly returning to cameo.
No director or additional casting has been announced, but Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has already gone on record stating that the Disney Plus series will lead to the big screen and vice verse so many of the seeds that have planted throughout this season of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier could take root in the upcoming fourth installment of the Captain America franchise.
