The Rundown
Chrisjen Avasarala seeks answers to a mystery on Luna, while Bobbie Draper continues to investigate a plot involving Mars.
Avasarala escapes a deadly situation with the help of Bobbie. She later discovers her exact level of vulnerability on Luna. Meanwhile, Bobbie is contacted by an old friend who requests her assistance in a money-making scheme. When she is put in a compromising position, Bobbie makes plans to ensure her safety. As she completes these preparations, she encounters something unexpected.
The Story
The plot development in this issue is fantastic. Even though this installment has no real action scenes, the stakes for the characters are still incredibly high. And the tension is palpable. It’s an entertaining read with a cliff hanger that left me more than ready for the next piece in the series.
The Art
Francesco Segala uses a muted watercolor palette to highlight the simple, yet detailed, artwork of Alejandro Aragon. The result is a stunning issue that adds an emotional depth to an already engaging story.
