The Rundown: The President’s daughter continues to behave erratically as an outside threat continues to grow.

Tensions continue to grow for the new Doyle administration as an external threat being exposed to the press puts more pressure on her. To make matters worse, her daughter Mara is dealing with the influence of dark forces and her brother believes that it is his fault. An act that will lead him to seek out advice when Mara’s behavior becomes more violent and unpredictable while their father and doctors can find no medical reason for it.

As things continue to get worse for Mara, the President finds herself dealing with scrutiny in her handling of a potential national security threat as well as her ability to care for her daughter. As she deals with the dark waters of politics, an external threat is discovered and could be operating close to home.

The Story: Hannah Rose May continues to create an intriguing and engaging story in this issue. I continue to be impressed with the world being created in this series and how complicated all of the interpersonal relationships are. There is a wonderful buildup of suspense throughout the story as each character deals with different complications that are interconnected. I found myself invested in this story and look forward to seeing what happens next.

The Art: Vanesa Del Rey delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. The lines are brilliantly complex and perfectly capture the dark tone of the story as well as the emotions of the characters.
