The Rundown: Lindy must escape the Dreaming before she forgets everything and everyone who matters and Ruin makes a stand.
Both Ruin and Lindy will come to the end of one perilous journey. Lindy is confronted by a creature who stands to force her to make a decision about the question that plagues her academic life. A question that is making her forget everything, including her own daughter. In the real world, Jophiel continues to care for the baby and is taking her home when he is confronted by another angel who has a warning for him.
At the same time, Dora and Ruin are trying to escape from Brut and Glob but their efforts meets a quick end when the lord of the Dreaming decides to intervene. As Lindy fights to reclaim her mind and her memories, Ruin stands up to his fellow nightmares and decides to stand up to Morpheus. An act that will have unexpected consequences for Ruin when Dream decides to give him something he wants but with a heavy price.
The Story: A brilliantly done conclusion from G Willow Wilson. The stories merge and separate in amazing ways while keeping the characters and the world consistently interesting. The dialogue is fantastic and there are so many great moments that affirm what is so amazing about this world. I love how the characters resolve their stories and the agency they have in doing so. I cannot wait to see where this goes next and how the characters evolve and change.
The Art: Nick Robles delivers some amazing imagery in this issue. There are so many great visual moments throughout especially with Lindy. The page where Ruin manifests his power is brilliantly done.
