The Rundown: Emmett embraces his destiny as Tavis makes a violent trip.

Tavis is on the hunt for Paige and will take out his frustrations violently on anyone who gets in his way. As he hunts for the rest of the displaced people from the missing town, he will follow a path of violence and fear before finding Emmett, Paige and the rest plotting what they will do next.

Tavis makes a fiery crash of an entrance and his violent appeal to Paige will cause more violence. Violence that will cause Emmett to finally embrace his destiny. A destiny that will bring him to the location of another missing town.

The Story: Brisson continues to craft an interesting and engaging story in this issue. There is a great ominous tone to the story as events continue to unfold and I like seeing Emmett embrace a destiny he didn’t want. While the disappearance of the town continues to be a compelling mystery, the story is creating some interesting layers that engage me to want to know more about the other missing towns and why survivors get forgotten by those around them. I like the cliffhanger this issue ends on and what it signals for the next arc.

The Art: Casalanguida delivers beautifully intense art throughout the issue. I really enjoyed the visual style of this issue and the characters.
