The Rundown: A group of strangers find themselves in the middle of a giant mystery.

A group of strangers who live in and around the small city of Oshawa, Ontario find themselves witnessing something strange when an old man named Harold drives a bus into the middle of the main road and sets it on fire to keep people from getting back into the town before it suddenly disappears.

As the survivors and others process the disappearance of the town and the people left behind, Harold warns them that it isn’t over and that there is something worse coming. Something that will cause everyone to forget Oshawa ever existed.

The Story: I love the concept of this story and how immediate the action and mystery begins. There is a wonderful dark tone to the story that I really enjoy. Brisson does great things with character that almost instantly bonded me with them and their personal stories as well as create a mystery that is layered and compelling in its execution. I look forward to seeing where this story goes next.

The Art: Casalanguida perfectly captures the gritty, dark tone of the story with art that is beautifully detailed and visually striking.
