The Rundown: The hunt for Bigfoot continues and Cole learns more about the power of mythology.

As Cole and his companions continue to make their way through the woods, none of them realize that they are being followed. They aren’t being tracked by the creature they are hunting, but by a man who has devoted his entire life to finding the elusive sasquatch and has given up too much in his life to be deterred.

Thinking that the agents are in the woods to kill him, he stalks them as Cole listens to the truth behind the myth and how it festered and grew across continents. A truth that will put them in the crosshairs of a determined hunter, but also his elusive and very real prey.

The Story: This series continues to be fascinating on multiple levels. The story acts as a great sci-fi mystery, but it is steeped in the truth of who we are as humans and Americans. The fight between truth and belief is a rich and intriguing one and James Tynion IV nails so many different engaging elements throughout this issue. The story is a brilliant blend of tragedy and adventure and every part works from the hand written pages to the dialogue.

The Art: Simmonds delivers some beautifully imaginative visuals throughout this issue. I enjoyed the hand written pages more in this issue than the last and the rest of the imagery is beautifully done and immersive.
